Description
Brief Introduction
The YKK series air-cooled motors offer many benefits, including a compact design, lightweight build, high efficiency, energy savings, low noise and vibration, excellent reliability, long service life, and ease of installation and maintenance. These motors are designed to operate effectively within ambient temperatures from -15℃ to +40℃, at altitudes up to 1,000 meters, and in environments with a monthly average humidity of up to 90% (at 25℃).
During the initial operation period, carbon dust may accumulate from the brushes and should be cleaned every two weeks before starting. When the abrasive surface of the brush develops an oxide film, periodic cleaning of carbon powder and dust is necessary. Due to varying operating environments and conditions, users should determine the cleaning frequency based on the presence of carbon powder and dust on the slip ring. Recommended cleaning methods include using dry compressed air or a small handheld dryer to remove surface dust and carbon powder. For oil contamination on the slip ring surface, anhydrous medical alcohol should be used for cleaning.
If the brush height falls below 25mm, replacement is required. It is advised to replace approximately one-third of the brushes per phase each time, staggering replacements every seven days until all brushes are renewed. New brushes should match the original specifications and fit freely within the brush holder. The contact surface between the brush and slip ring should be at least 70% under natural spring clip pressure. If the contact area is insufficient, the brush should be ground and carbon dust cleaned to restore proper contact.
