Our Client’s Challenge
One of our partners, a national fan equipment manufacturer, had developed the FBCDZ (formerly BDK) high-efficiency counter-rotating main ventilation fan series in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Science and Technology Beijing. These systems required motors that could deliver ultra-stable power output, adapt to various operational pressures, and maintain performance in underground conditions over years of continuous operation. The challenge was to provide motors that met both mechanical integration needs and national explosion-proof certification requirements.
Our Approach And Solution
Simo Motor supplied a tailored lineup of high-efficiency, flameproof motors specifically matched to the No.38 BDK618-10 main fan system deployed at Bailongshan Coal Mine — one of the benchmark installations in recent years. The motors were engineered to meet precise speed-torque curves, and custom mounting solutions were provided for seamless mechanical integration with the dual-impeller system. Thermal insulation systems were reinforced to handle elevated temperatures and vibration levels typical of underground mining operations.
To align with the client’s production schedule, our team provided on-site support during installation and commissioning. The motors passed full compliance checks for mining safety certifications and have been running continuously with excellent reliability.

Our Approach And Solution
The motor integration project was executed in two phases. The first phase focused on rapid delivery and installation of motors for high-priority mining sites, including the Bailongshan deployment in late 2022. The second phase covered long-term supply support for additional models (No.14 to No.42) used in future fan builds. By working closely with the fan manufacturer’s R&D team, Simo Motor ensured that every unit was optimized for field performance. Our team also assisted in achieving multiple utility model patents, including adjustable blade locking mechanisms and mobile base frame adaptations for mine-specific fan operation.
