About Project
In the steel industry, TRT technology (Top Gas Pressure Recovery Turbine Unit) is an advanced energy recovery system used to harness the residual pressure of blast furnace gas. This gas, released from the furnace top, is directed into a turbine to generate electricity, thereby converting otherwise wasted energy into usable power. A well-designed TRT system not only improves energy efficiency by recovering up to 30% of the blast furnace blower energy, but also purifies gas, reduces noise, stabilizes furnace top pressure, and creates a more consistent production environment. It is widely recognized as an essential green solution by steel manufacturers globally.
Our Client’s Challenge
Our QFW series brushless excitation turbo generators are specially engineered for TRT applications and are widely used across major Chinese steel enterprises. These generators are developed in close partnership with Shaanxi Blower (Group) Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Engine (Group) Co., Ltd., the only two domestic manufacturers of TRT turbines.
To date, we have successfully supplied over 240 units of TRT turbo generators for steel projects across the country. Each generator is customized for high power output (10,000–30,000 kW), 2-pole design, and operates at 10,500 V to match the requirements of high-efficiency turbine systems.
